    For long-term implant success clinicians need to detect early signs of implant complications and diagnose any complications to provide early intervention. Your team will be able to implement professional in-office maintenance treatment and recommend preventative home-care regimens for patients. This course will follow Susan’s new textbook: Peri-Implant Therapy for the Dental Hygienist: Second Edition.
    • Current research protocols, tools, and treatments for prevention of peri-implant disease
    • Detect: professionally assess and monitor all forms of all dental implants
    • Diagnose: Understand early intervention guidelines based on American Academy of Periodontology (AAP) peri-implant soft and hard deficiencies

  • Prevent, Protect, Preserve! Natural Teeth, Implants and Restorations (Workshop)

    10/27/23 9am-3pm (Complimentary 6 CE Credits) The Oral Surgery Center - Woodbury

    It’s a vital time for comprehensive care of our patients’ natural teeth, implants, restorations and most importantly their overall health. As dental professionals, we now have a new role to incorporate biofilm science into our prophylaxis and disease treatment protocols. We need to educate our patients on inflammation, oral systemic connection, and a biofilm-focused home care regimen. This course will present a new perspective on your prophylaxis, periodontal and peri-implant disease treatment protocols. Prevention for natural teeth, protection of implants, and preservation of restorations will be addressed.
    • Learn the current guidelines and clinical applications based on ACP Guidelines for Tooth- and Implant-Borne Restoration Patients and World Workshop AAP/EFP Classification for Periodontal and Peri-Implant Conditions
    • Put into clinical practice new protocols, tools, and products for patients’ natural teeth, implants, and preservation of restorations
    • Understand WHY biofilm-focused home-care is essential for patients’ oral and overall health
    • Participate in a FUN interactive trial of the latest preventive, protective, and preservation products

    Susan Wingrove BS, RDH

    Susan Wingrove BS, RDH, Dynamic innovator, international speaker, researcher, writer, and consultant. 2016 RDH Award of Distinction Recipient and 2022 Western Society of Periodontology Hygiene Educator of the year. Co-designer of the Wingrove Titanium Implant Series, ACE probes, and Queen of Hearts instruments for PDT. On Oral-B Global Implant and Western Society of Periodontology Boards. Susan has 40+ years in dentistry and now specializes in sorting through the science to develop protocols for healthy teeth, implants, and disease treatment. Published author; American and International journals on peri-implant therapy, regeneration, and advanced instrumentation. Textbook: Peri-Implant Therapy for the Dental Hygienist: 2nd Edition. Susan resides in Missoula, Montana and enjoys fly fishing, hiking, and snowshoeing.
